Baja Sur

October is one of the best times to experience Baja Sur. The summer heat has eased, the water on both the Pacific and the Sea of Cortez is still warm, and the mountains, desert, and coastline are all comfortable to explore.

Most of Baja's mountain ranges run down the center of the peninsula. Just south of Loreto, they break away and push toward the Sea of Cortez, creating some of the most dramatic scenery in Baja. In places, the mountains drop nearly 2,000 feet straight into the sea, forming spectacular cliffs, hidden coves, and endless ocean views.

This six-day adventure starts and ends in Cabo, taking you far beyond the resorts and into the backcountry. We'll explore rugged mountain trails, remote beaches, desert tracks, and coastlines on both the Pacific and the Sea of Cortez. October's warm water makes it the perfect time to swim, snorkel, or simply float just offshore from our remote camps.

Flying into Los Cabos? We'll have a fully equipped overland rental truck waiting for you at the airport. Step off the plane, load your gear, and head straight for the trail. It's the easiest way to experience a true overland adventure without spending days driving to Baja.
